The Michigan Department of Transportation says a $3.6 million road project is set to start on I-196 near Covert in Van Buren County next week. MDOT says starting on Monday, April 20, crews will resurface about seven miles of the southbound lanes, stretching from just south of the Berrien/Van Buren county line to 32nd Avenue.
