Regarding the issue of perfluorooctaneous fluorine compounds (PFAS) contamination at the water treatment plant within Camp Leicester, a U.S. military base in Chatan Town, it was revealed on the 23rd that the environmental group "Informed Public Project (IPP)" conducted water quality surveys near the water source of the treatment plant and detected high concentrations of PFAS exceeding Japan's guideline value (50 nanograms) at two locations.
