Called “coastal miner” by his countryman Rubem Braga, Wilson Figueiredo was born in Castelo, in the south of Espírito Santo, on July 29, 1924, but moved to Minas Gerais as a child. He only arrived in Belo Horizonte in 1943. Before that, he lived in Raul Soares, Divinpolis, Montes Claros and Uberaba, in the interior of the state. Read more (04/21/2025)
