Harrods could create 70 jobs for Chester after planning bid for department store

CHESTER could well be welcoming a version of Harrods to the city, through its H Beauty brand, according to a planning application.

A planning application has been submitted for the former Browns of Chester building with H (Harrods) Beauty set to take on part of the iconic Eastgate street location. The building has been empty since May 2021. Owners Martin Property Group are splitting the building into smaller units and H- Beauty will occupy 34-36 Eastgate Row across the two buildings with an exit to the Grosvenor shopping centre.
