Workers Make Canada Strong What makes Canada strong is still the workers who provide public services, create wealth, and enable other Canadians to prosper.

Protecting each other takes more than strengthening security and defence capabilities. It also means protecting public services, workers’ rights, and the social infrastructure Canadians depend on. To members who are approaching summer vacation, we wish you a well-earned rest and time with loved ones. Other UCTE members are entering a very busy time of year providing services to travellers on canals, at ports and airports. To these members, thank you for everything you do to keep Canadians safe and able to enjoy our beautiful country. Today, we should show gratitude for all the workers who make Canada a great place to live. At the same time, there is always more we can do to build a Canada that is fairer, stronger, and more inclusive for everyone.
