- Between 1985 and 1990, Williams portrayed Lester Jenkins on '227', starring alongside Marla Gibbs as his wife, Mary Jenkins, and Regina King as their daughter, Brenda Jenkins.
- Beyond television, Williams appeared in films including 'Hardcore' , 'The Rookie' , and 'Guess Who' , while most recently guest-starring in the rebooted 'Matlock' with Kathy Bates.
