Turkish Motorcycle Federation Vice President Akülke announced that they closed the Afyonkarahisar leg of the World Motocross Championship with a record-breaking attendance of over 500,000 spectators, that the champion was determined there, and that the races will be expanded to 5 categories next year.
With a 2-1 result, MX2 World Championship leader Guillem Farres (Triumph) won the Grand Prix of Turkiye in Afyonkarahisar, while Sacha Coenen (KTM) had to give up and thus fell back in the table.
