The Belgian Centre for Guide Dogs in Tongeren is urgently looking for new foster families to take in puppies. Future guide dogs are placed with families at a young age to prepare them for training. The centre expects many new puppies soon, but there aren't enough families to take them all. "As a result, we have a long waiting list of up to five years," says Yentl Van de Velde of the centre.
