Groningen cancels event to mark the end of gas extraction

The event with which the province of Groningen wanted to mark the end of gas extraction from the Groningen field is canceled. The main reason is that it is no longer up to date and “time has caught up with us”, according to responsible deputy Susan Top after consulting with stakeholders. Support has also declined and it proved difficult to enthuse people.
