CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — A new law went into effect on July 9 in West Virginia, and lawmakers intend to make it clear that the state has “zero tolerance” for child abuse.  The law will create harsher penalties for individuals who have been convicted of child abuse. Greenville man receives maximum sentence for child abuse

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) - A Greenville man was given the maximum sentence Thursday for child abuse charges with severe injuries including a broken back. In January 2022, 30-year-old Jamarcus Tyrone Gregory was arrested after he assaulted a child and caused multiple injuries.
