The Kingdom of Denmark; Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, today takes over the chairmanship of the Arctic Council. Vivian Motzfeldt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Greenland, will chair the council for the next two years on behalf of the union, but this is the first time that Greenlanders will lead the council.
