Great Slovenian celebration in Planica: Prevc won, Lanišek the other

The Slovenian foursome announced their fight for victory in the traditional Saturday team competition in the flying competition in the trial series. The team competition will be broadcast on TV SLO 2/MMC and Val 202. In the rainy Planica, the first series with ten teams started at 9:30.

Prevc confirmed the conquest of the small crystal globe with a victory. The Slovenian celebration was completed with 2nd place by Anže Lanišek, who took off his hat in front of his national team colleague.

Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc (459.1 points) was the best in the first of three World Cup matches at the season finale in Planica. In front of the home fans, he overtook the leader after the first series, Anže Laniška (454,8) for a double Slovenian celebration, and with the celebration he also confirmed the small crystal globe for the best aviator of the season.

Prevc thus confirmed his victory in the overall flight before Sunday's final match of the season.

Daniel Tschofenig stayed in the first ski flying before Jan Hörl and secured the big crystal ball. The day's victory went to Slovenia.
