Republican Anna Luna wins reelection to U.S. House in Florida’s 13th Congressional District
The AP said Luna won after a nearly two-day count, with about 2,500 votes separating her from Democrat Leela Gray.
As of Wednesday, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna leads Democrat Leela Gray by less than one percent in Florida's 13th Congressional District, with the race remaining uncalled.
Pinellas County's electoral map was recently redrawn, pushing boundaries further into conservative territory, which strengthened Luna's position against Gray.
Luna, an Air Force veteran serving since 2023, faces Gray, a retired Army brigadier general with 30 years of military service, in a contest between two military veterans.
Both candidates raised millions of dollars, while Luna's campaign emphasized her voting record and an endorsement from President Donald Trump.
The 13th District result remains significant as Democrats need to flip at least three seats to gain House control, while Republicans hold 53 Senate seats.
