CAPITAN, N.M. – A grass fire near US Highway 380 has consumed 10 acres, prompting evacuations and road closures. The fire started just after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, near MM 86 on US Highway 380. Hailey Hill RV Park has been evacuated. Residents in Capitan and nearby areas are advised of heavy smoke.
