Governor Hochul announces expansion of child tax credits for qualifying children on Monday
Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Monday an expansion of child tax credits for New York families. This will increase the child tax credit up to $1,000 per qualifying child under the age of four. The credit is for the 2026 filing season, 2025 tax year.
