Governments of Canada, Sask. commit $8.4 million for livestock and research projects

Livestock and research projects in Saskatchewan have been given a boost through investments by both the federal and provincial governments.

Having already provided $450,000 over three years to the Manitoba Farmer Wellness Program in 2024, both levels of government are resuming this in early 2026. This time, the governments of Canada and Manitoba are renewing their financial support by extending for two years, for an amount of $300,000. As a reminder, the MFWP was created a few years ago to serve as an intermediary between farmers in the province and psychologists.
