Gordon Ramsay reveals he had treatment to remove skin cancer
Gordon Ramsay, the 58-year-old celebrity chef, revealed on Instagram that he recently underwent surgery to remove basal cell carcinoma from the side of his face.
The surgery followed his diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of non-melanoma skin cancer, mainly caused by ultraviolet light exposure.
Ramsay shared a photo of his scar and thanked The Skin Associates for their fast work while issuing a cautionary message urging fans to use sunscreen and seek shade.
He expressed his thanks and gratitude to the outstanding staff at The Skin Associates for their prompt and effective treatment in removing his Basal Cell Carcinoma.
Ramsay’s announcement raised awareness about skin cancer risks and emphasized prevention measures, contributing to public health messaging on sun safety.
He is recovering from skin cancer removal, and many followers have sent him messages of support, and the British Cancer Research Foundation has also spoken out.
