Artists are once again refusing to perform at the Zwarte Cross festival due to ties between Israel and KKR, the owner of the Zwarte Cross. It is not the first time that venture capitalist KKR has come under fire. But is that justified?
The Dutch band Goldband will not perform at the Dutch festival Zwarte Cross. The band is taking this decision because KRR, the new controversial American owner of the festival, allegedly has ties to Israel. "We hope to make it clear that we actively refuse to be part of a music industry that directly or indirectly contributes to genocide, war or inequality," the band writes on social media.
