GREATER LONDON, ENGLAND, JUL 16 – Andi Oliver is the leading contender to host MasterChef following the dismissal of John Torode for racist language and Gregg Wallace for misconduct involving 45 allegations, bookmakers said.
- The BBC confirmed on July 15, 2025, that it would not renew John Torode's contract after an independent investigation upheld an historic allegation of racism.
- This decision came after an investigation by legal firm Lewis Silkin confirmed 45 out of 83 allegations against Gregg Wallace, most of which related to the use of sexually explicit language and jokes.

- Other hopefuls include Tom Kerridge with betting odds of 3/1 , followed by Poppy O'Toole at 4/1 , Angela Hartnett at 5/1 , and Nadiya Hussain with odds of 6/1 .
- The direction of MasterChef is currently unclear as the show navigates several high-profile departures and ongoing speculation about who might bring the right balance of prestige and relatability to the presenting role.
