Radar film sentenced to 50,000 euros fine for the destruction of nests of pink flamingos

Radar Film, the producer of Nicolas Vanier's feature film "Give me wings", was found guilty on Friday of the destruction of 520 eggs of Camargue's pink flamingos during the film shoot in 2018, with ULM.

At the time of the film, Camargue's pink flamingos had abandoned their nests by trampling eggs on the way because of the ULM that had caused them to panic.

The Nîmes court fined the production company 50,000 euros for disturbing a Natura 2000 area in 2018, causing the loss of 520 eggs, or 11.5 % of the annual breeding in France of this protected species.
