After Saturday's heavy menu, the Giro's journey through the Apennine mountains continues on Saturday. The eighth stage is a demanding test with many climbs and an unpredictable course. It can prove to be a test for both classics and mountaineers, it can (very likely) end with a victorious breakaway for a group of riders, but it could also shake up the standings among the strong men for the overall classification.
