Italy's Brignone captures season-long women's giant slalom title at World Cup finals

Swiss Loic Meillard set the fastest time in the first run of the final giant slalom of the 2024/25 Alpine Skiing World Cup season. Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (+0.53) was second in the race in Sun Valley, with Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen in third (+0.65). Slovenian Žan Kranjec is 12th, 1.71 seconds behind, 1.06 seconds off the podium.

Lara Gutová-Behramiová ended the season with two victories.

Italian ski racer Federica Brignone wrapped up the season-long giant slalom title on Tuesday at the World Cup finals in a race won by Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland in Sun Valley, Idaho.

After the triumph in the Super-G, the Ticino winner at the World Cup final in Sun Valley also wins the giant slalom. Italian Federica Brignone is second and thus secures the small ball.
