The German Federal Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA) announced a serious manufacturing defect that could affect approximately 1 million vehicles manufactured by Volkswagen and its subsidiary Audi in the country, causing the steering system to lock up. This technical fault affects approximately 2.8 million vehicles worldwide, including those in Germany.
Interested are the Golf, Golf Variant, Tiguan, Touran and Caddy models, produced from 24 September 2013 to 1 July 2024. For Audi are involved 696.547 vehicles worldwide, of which 58.555 in Germany. The recall concerns the Q3 model, produced from 31 October 2017 to 23 May 2024
With several VW models, a screw can break at the steering. In the worst case, a failure threatens.
