Giant Harry Potter Dragon stuns Londoners as it roars through streets

A 25-foot-long animatronic Hungarian Horntail dragon paraded through central London on 12 May 2025, stunning onlookers.
A giant animatronic dragon reenacted a memorable scene involving the Hungarian Horntail to celebrate the launch of the Triwizard Tournament – Making of Champions attraction.
Created by filmmaker Joe Scott, the dragon includes articulated movements in its head, mouth, and eyes, accompanied by sound effects, and showcases 119 spikes along with 38 resin teeth, all completed in over 750 hours of work.
The exhibit celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Goblet of Fire film will be open from 15 May to 8 September 2025 at The Making of Harry Potter experience in London.
Warner Bros. Staff highlighted the complex teamwork behind the dragon's creation, saying it inspires visitors with filmmaking craftsmanship and secrets.
