Ghanshyam Singh is 72-year-old former Congress MLA. The party has fielded him for the Datia byelection in Madhya Pradesh. He will take on BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari in Datia, who is considered a saffron party's stronghold.
Datia By-election 2026: The political drama surrounding the Datia Assembly by-election has reached a very interesting juncture. While the main opposition party, Congress, has revealed its cards and fielded Ghanshyam Singh, senior BJP leader Narottam Mishra, who was upset over his ticket being denied, has received a significant and surprising offer from the Shiv Sena (UBT) in Maharashtra.
