In response to the Russian drones that invaded the Polish airspace on Tuesday night, the German government intends to step up measures to monitor airspace.
France and Germany took steps on Thursday to strengthen Polish air defenses, while the United Nations (UN) Security Council is preparing for an emergency meeting on Moscow's drones on Polish territory. Saulius Skvernelis, leader of the Democratic Union "For Lithuania", says Lithuania should also conclude bilateral agreements with neighboring countries to use their capabilities in similar situations.
Germany said on Friday it would reinforce the protection of Polish airspace with additional aircraft as part of a NATO mission. The announcement comes a day after Russian drones violated Polish airspace. At Warsaw's request, the UN Security Council will meet on Friday to discuss the drone incursion over Polish territory.
