As part of the project SOOFI (Sovereign Open Source Foundation Models), in which six research institutions are involved, including the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS, the DFKI, the universities of Würzburg and Hannover or TU Darmstadt, scientists have developed a first language model with SOOFI S for industrial applications whose performance exceeds previous European models.
