Georgia convicted felon arrested for threatening to kill Pres. Trump
FLOYD COUNTY, GEORGIA, AUG 8 – Jauan Rashun Porter, on probation for prior convictions, threatened to assassinate Trump during a TikTok livestream and was found with explosives and ammunition in his home, DOJ said.
- On July 26, 2025, Jauan Rashun Porter, a 29-year-old from Rome, Georgia, allegedly made threats to kill Donald Trump while participating in a TikTok livestream called Alligator Alcatraz.
- Porter made threats to kill federal agents after a livestream host inquired whether any had shown up at his residence.
- Porter was taken into custody on federal accusations related to deliberately threatening the president and is being held until a detention hearing set for August 12, 2025.
- Porter also threatened to "put a 7.62 bullet inside forehead" and watch him die, and searches of his apartment found pipes, pistol ammunition, and Tannerite explosives.
- U.S. Attorney Hertzberg described the allegations as serious, stating Porter will face consequences, while Secret Service and law enforcement vow to investigate and prosecute all such threats.
