Georgetown County Fire and EMS to conduct smoke detector blitz

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) - Emergency officials in Georgetown County are conducting a Smoke Detector Blitz to ensure homes have adequate smoke alarms. Georgetown County Fire and EMS crews will go door-to-door on Saturday in the McDonald's community checking for working smoke alarms and installing them where needed.
