Generations of truckers take part in 36th annual Make-A-Wish Mother's Day convoy
- On Saturday, 426 trucks formed the 36th annual Make-A-Wish Mother's Day convoy in Penn Township to support children with critical illnesses.
- This event began in 1990 when Linda Pauling co-founded Make-A-Wish after her son Christopher, diagnosed with leukemia, received a wish to be a police officer.
- The convoy allowed 40 Make-A-Wish families, including 16-year-old Gabriel Cole with cystic fibrosis, to participate and celebrate Mother's Day by riding through Mount Joy.
- By Saturday, the convoy raised over $282,000 with fundraising continuing through June 15, while Pauling, aged 74, pledged to support the cause until she can no longer.
- The ongoing convoy exemplifies Make-A-Wish's commitment to granting life-changing wishes and engaging communities in supporting children facing severe health challenges.
