ANKARA — Turkey on Tuesday replaced Army Chief of Staff Metin Gurak before the end of his four year-term, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency.Gurak has been succeeded by Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, the current ground forces commander.Gurak, who was appointed as the country’s chief of staff in 2023, was retired due to staffing shortages, according to reports. He had been expected to remain in his position for several more years.
