The Geary County Sheriff’s Office handled three separate wildlife-related crashes over the weekend. The first incident occurred at 8:43 p.m. on Dec. 27 along K-177 near mile marker 83. Deputies say Douglas Ackerman of Manhattan was traveling north in a 2010 Mercury Milan when a deer entered the roadway. Ackerman struck the deer, causing heavy damage to the vehicle.
