Gáspár Orbán took the military oath in 2019 and later studied at a prestigious British officer school. He was linked to the controversial planned military mission of the Hungarian state in Chad, which was also confirmed in the campaign by his former Sandhurst classmate, Captain Szilveszter Pálinkás.
According to previous press reports, the prime minister's son was responsible for organizing the Chadian mission, but he may have submitted his request for disarmament before the elections.
