Right-wing parliamentarian Gideon van Meijeren called for resistance against the government and raised the issue of excessive self-defense. According to the Court, he "did not further specify this violence, neither for the here and now, nor for the future."
Van Meijeren is accused of inciting farmers to violence. The court ruled that he approached, but did not exceed, the criminal law threshold.
