The Department of Popular Culture and the School of Cultural and Critical Studies have announced the Funk Music in Popular Culture Conference. This free event will be held on April 25th & 26th in the Bowen Thompson Student Union room 314.  Doug Wimbish, award winning American bassist known for playing with Living Colour and Tackhead, will be the featured keynote speaker.
