Shein openings across France delayed after shoppers balked at Paris store prices
The opening of five new Shein concession stores across France has been delayed, department store owner Societe des Grands Magasins said on Friday, as it adjusts its strategy after some shoppers found prices at the Paris store too steep.
The gap will be "a few days or a few weeks", depending on the store. This follows the controversy since the opening of the sign at the BHV in Paris.
The owner of the historic BHV Marais department stores in Paris announced that he will delay the opening of physical Shein stores in other cities in the country, alleging excessive demand and lack of space in the premises.
