StarKist® Partners with Feed the Children and Cornerstones for Fourth Annual Summer Food and Resource Rally in Northern Virginia
- On June 6, 2025, StarKist teamed up with Feed the Children and Cornerstones to organize their fourth yearly event in Northern Virginia aimed at supplying food and essential items to 400 families in need.
- The event responded to rising food insecurity in the region, with many local families newly relying on food pantries due to cost-of-living pressures and increased demand along the Dulles Corridor.
- Volunteers distributed family kits containing 25-pound boxes of shelf-stable food, hygiene essentials, and StarKist products that provided over 8,300 meals to support families of four this summer.
- Edward Min, StarKist CEO, stated that the collaboration enables the company to have a significant and positive impact on individuals experiencing hardships in the community, while working toward eliminating childhood hunger both locally and nationally.
- The rally highlights the continued joint initiatives aimed at combating hunger, as the two organizations maintain programs across the country to address the rising challenges of food insecurity in 2025.
