Tour de France final stage shortened amid wildfires in country
Organisers cut the 21st stage by one-third as police and security staff are redeployed to help fight major wildfires.
- On Saturday, Tour de France organizers announced that Sunday's 21st stage will be shortened to 89 kilometers from the originally planned 133 kilometers due to wildfires ravaging southwest France.

- Instead of starting in Thoiry west of Paris, the race will now commence on the Champs Elysees, featuring extra laps around the famous avenue before joining the Montmartre circuit.
