After France and Croatia secured their place in the semi-finals of the European Futsal Championship, hosted by Slovenia, Latvia and Lithuania, on Saturday, two more teams will secure their place in the semi-finals today. Portugal will face Belgium, and Spain will face Italy. Both matches will be held in Stožice.
France and Croatia are the first semi-finalists of the European Championship. The second quarter-final match will be played tomorrow in Ljubljana.
The French team won against Ukraine in quarterfinals this Saturday (4-2).
At the European Futsal Championship, France and Croatia, who played in the same group, advanced to the quarterfinals. While the French reached this far for the first time, the Croatians are in the semifinals after a 14-year hiatus.
The Croatians defeated Armenia 3-0 (3-0) in the quarter-finals in Kaunas. France also reached the semi-finals in Riga, defeating Ukraine 4-2 (0-0, 1-1) after extra time. The quarter-finals will be played in Ljubljana on Sunday.
