Four Venezuelan police officers were arrested for stealing in the area affected by the double earthquake in Venezuela, the Ministry of Justice announced on social networks, after images of uniformed people caught in bags by angry inhabitants went viral.
Venezuela has experienced one of the largest earthquakes in history. Although the event occurred a week ago – on June 24th – emergency services are still battling the aftermath of the disaster. People and bodies are being recovered, and the remaining rubble is being combed. Police officers resorted to looting. Unfortunately, four officers assigned to search for the injured decided to capitalize on this human tragedy.

It has been a week since the devastating earthquakes that shook Venezuela, leaving at least 1,943 dead and more than 10,500 injured, and hundreds of rescuers continue searching for survivors under the rubble.
