Broadcaster Tom Holland has been named the first Canon Historian at Salisbury Cathedral.

Four new canons have been appointed to Salisbury Cathedral's College of Canons

During the Evensong service on Monday 2 June, four lay canons were installed into the College of Canons at Salisbury Cathedral, by invitation of the Right Reverend Stephen Lake, Bishop of Salisbury. Included in the four is historian and broadcaster Tom Holland, who is the first Canon Historian to be appointed in an English cathedral.
