EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS, AUG 8 – Fort Bliss will expand to detain up to 5,000 migrants amid ICE facility shortages, part of a $1.2 billion contract to support the largest federal detention center ever, officials said.
- ICE will begin housing migrants at a new tent-built detention center called Camp East Montana at Fort Bliss, Texas, starting August 17, 2025.
