Max Verstappen looks back on the first two free practice sessions in Singapore with a reasonably positive feeling. The 28-year-old Dutchman twice clocked the third-fastest time on the street circuit. "The car wasn't bad, and it was a bit like the past few weekends, where there weren't any major issues," Verstappen said via his Red Bull team. "We tried a few things that worked, so we're going to try to optimize those."
Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso has surprisingly achieved the best time in the first free practice for the Singapore Grand Prix in 2025. Alonso won soft tyres with 1:31,116 minutes against his 19 competitors. Former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button said on "Sky": "I think that's not only due to little fuel in the tank, but above all to the Alonso factor."
