According to a report in today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Seneca Valley graduate Matt Vogt has earned a spot for the U.S. Open coming to Oakmont next week. He won a 36-hole qualifier for the Open in Walla Walla, Washington Monday by one stroke. Vogt, who used to be a caddie at Oakmont, shot 8-under par to win one of the two qualifying spots.
