The State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) is currently exploring Shaft 1 of the former Ehmen potash mine in the Wolfsburg district of the same name. Following the exploration, the shaft is to be backfilled. The work, which has been ongoing since 2023, is quite extensive.
