Ex-Socialist Finance Minister Carmen Martinez Aguayo, sentenced to six years and two days in prison for embezzlement in a specific financing procedure for fraudulent ERTE (temporary employment regulation) schemes funded by regional funds, began serving her sentence on December 29, 2022. She has been transferred to the third grade penitentiary and is assigned to the Seville Social Integration Center (CIS).
Martínez Aguayo went to prison on December 28, 2022 to serve his six-year prison sentence for a crime of embezzlement.
