Former Coal Grove police chief passes

Eric Spurlock Eric Spurlock, an officer known for his calming presence and friendly personality, died on Monday. He began his career as a Lawrence County deputy jailer, was the chief of the Coal Grove Police and was employed as part of the courthouse security detail as well as being a special deputy.
