Fire inferno in holiday paradise So far, hundreds have been evacuated, reports The Sun. Large areas have been burned and several houses and cars are said to have been taken by the flames. The newspaper writes that a person has been arrested and accused of starting parts of the fire with petrol, after allegedly setting fire to his own house. Turkey's Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc says the man is charged with "intentionally causing a forest fire".…
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that 150 fires that broke out across Turkey were intervened. The fires in Bilecik, Manisa and Bolu were brought under control. However, the forest fire between the Menderes and Seferihisar districts of İzmir is causing concern due to strong winds.
