The Vienna Vikings took their final curse in the Austrian Football League (AFL). The team of head coach Benjamin Sobotka won the Austrian Bowl XL on Saturday evening in St. Pölten, in the AFL showdown the Viennese arch rival Danube Dragons was defeated with 27:17 (7:14). The Vikings had taken six defeats in series in the Austrian Bowl since 2018. As final MVP, Wide Receiver Fabian Eder, who achieved three touchdowns, was honoured.
