Foothill Area to form 3 large conferences, dissolve many longtime leagues

The Foothill Area, which represents schools in parts of the San Gabriel Valley and Whittier, voted Thursday to form three large conferences for its high school sports teams and to dissolve several of the traditional league alignments.
